Version 1.3.0 is here with a host of significant graphical changes as well as gameplay tweaks and bug fixes. Perhaps the most interesting change is the introduction of whole levels where the lights are off, and you have to navigate using a modest torch - see illustration below:

There are also new floor tiles and alien sprites, a revamped user interface, enemy move animations and more.

Here is the full list of changes:

NEW main UI design including terminal, inventory, workbench and main UI
NEW floor tiles and enemy sprites
NEW lighting effects including whole levels with the lights on or off
NEW basic enemy move animations added
NEW inventory item graphics distinguishing between usable and equippable items
NEW torches with battery life and range
NEW basic loading screen
NEW allow clicking on armor to open new armor information panel
NEW smooth scroll and zoom of main display
MOD improved enemy sound effects
MOD improved terminal and inventory item descriptions
MOD allow any key to close some information panels
MOD inventory quantity numbers only shown for items with quantity
MOD reduce size of levels for balancing reasons
MOD increased probability of throwing knives on early levels
MOD number of demo levels changed from 5 to 4
MOD improved main log text colours
FIX bug where full line of sight sometimes not shown immediately on starting a level
FIX some throwing weapon sounds missing
FIX deal with case where acquire new item when inventory is full
FIX minor error in ranking of high scores
FIX bug with experience-point-cost for new skills sometimes loading incorrectly
FIX log text when trying to reload a fully loaded weapon
FIX exploding barrel sound not working
FIX bug with crate sprites not being removed when destroyed
